UIT Veli demonstrates its dedication to community service and social welfare through the establishment of its National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit. Identified by the unit number KL-07-149, this NSS Unit underscores the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing civic engagement among its student body. Led by a dynamic team of faculty and supported by enthusiastic student volunteers, the NSS Unit endeavours to initiate impactful projects and activities that address the needs of the local community. From promoting health awareness campaigns to organizing environmental conservation initiatives, the NSS Unit aims to instill a sense of responsibility and empathy among its members while contributing positively to society. Under the stewardship of the Programme Officer, appointed from the esteemed faculty cadre, the NSS Unit at the University Institute of Technology is poised to embark on a journey of service and learning. With a focus on holistic development, the unit seeks to empower students with valuable skills, leadership opportunities, and a deeper understanding of social issues.
One of our esteemed associates is the We Grow Forest Foundation, a renowned non-governmental organisation committed to environmental conservation and sustainability. Through our collaboration with We Grow Forest Foundation, we actively participate in various planting activities aimed at replenishing our planet’s green cover. Our joint initiatives, such as tree plantation drives, not only foster a sense of environmental responsibility among our students but also contribute to the global effort to combat climate change.
In alignment with our dedication to environmental stewardship, we also collaborate closely with Sea of Change, a division of the We Grow Forest Foundation dedicated to marine conservation. Together, we engage in impactful beach clean-up drives, working tirelessly to preserve our coastlines and marine ecosystems. These initiatives provide our students with invaluable opportunities for hands-on community engagement and environmental advocacy, instilling in them a deep-seated commitment to protecting our planet’s precious resources.
Webrand.tech has established a valuable partnership with the University Institute of Technology, offering essential training to students in social media management, digital learning, and various other digital-related skills. Their comprehensive training programs equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing them for the demands of the digital landscape. Additionally, Webrand.tech has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by designing the UIT website, showcasing their dedication to supporting educational institutions and fostering collaboration within the community. Through this partnership, students at UIT gain access to industry-relevant training and resources, empowering them to excel in their academic and professional endeavours.
The partnership with H & R Block- Technopark has significantly benefited UIT by providing valuable sponsorships, scholarships, training, workshops, and career guidance services to our students. Through this collaboration, UIT students gain exposure to industry-standard practices in finance and taxation, soft skill development, enhancing their employability and preparing them for careers in the financial sector. The expertise and resources offered by H & R Block Technopark complement UIT’s academic programs, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that aligns with industry demands.
The collaboration with the Model Career Centre – University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau in Thiruvananthapuram have greatly benefited UIT by providing students with access to comprehensive employment information and guidance services. Through this partnership, UIT students receive assistance in exploring career opportunities, developing job search strategies, and enhancing their employability skills. The guidance and support offered by the Model Career Centre enable UIT students to make informed career decisions and successfully transition into the workforce, thus contributing to their overall academic and professional development.
We collaborate with esteemed professional development organisations like Trivandrum Management Association, which provide training, workshops, and career guidance services to our students. These partnerships complement our academic programs by offering additional resources and support for the personal and professional growth of our students, ensuring they are well-prepared to embark on successful careers upon graduation.
